Apparently Andy Muschietti intends to do things decidedly big for the epilogue of his acclaimed horror franchise. If a few weeks ago the director had revealed that in IT Chapter 2 we will see “the most bloody scene ever seen in the history of cinema” , it seems that even the duration of the film is not exactly to be taken lightly.
According to the latest confirmations, we will see as many as 2 hours and 49 minutes of pure terror. Almost four minutes more than what the first unofficial reports claimed, and well 34 more than the first chapter, lasting 135 minutes . Really not bad for a horror; although this is not surprising, given the amount of material offered by the novel by Stephen King .
The film by 2017 – we remember – followed the vicissitudes of a group of kids struggling with a mysterious shapeshifter that gives centuries haunts the town of Derry, awakening every 27 years to feed on innocent children. After being able to defeat the monster for the first time, the protagonists – now adults – will gather in the same places of their childhood to face Pennywise again.
This time James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Isaiah Mustafa And Andy Bean . But there will also be flashbacks with the protagonists of the first film, namely Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs and Wyatt Oleff . Among the new entries instead, eyes focused on Xavier Dolan and Jess Weixler . To interpret the frightening clown, it will always be Bill Skarsgård .
